When we dropped off our golden doodle, she struggled with everything including resource guarding, biting at us/leash at end of walks, and being on anxiety medications to help keep her calm.
Sarah, Austin, and Carrie transformed her into a perfect family dog in just 3 weeks. We saw changes in her demeanor within the first several days via video/picture updates and by week 2 of the updates our stress of bringing her back into our family was removed and replaced with excitement. During the 3 weeks they were able to completely eliminate the need for anxiety medicines.

We have had our dog back home for about a week now and it has been wonderful. She now has excellent recall, a perfect walker (on or off leash), and so calm around our family. She is fun and loving and gentle. K9 Kamp saved us by giving the training, tools, and support to help our puppy become an amazing family pet.

Pick the girls up today after a week of boarding them, girls were happy to see us but they love all the trainers at K9 Camp, and came home to a special package - a birthday cake for our puppy!! K9 Kamp was absolutely fabulous. I sent my pup around 7 months old, and can’t say enough about the sustainable foundation they provided. My dog is now 5, and I continue to get compliments on his behavior. When people ask about his breeder, I instead point them to K9 Kamp. I truly believe their training not only makes for happier dog owners, but for happier pets. Because he is reliable, we are able to take him everywhere with us (trips, hikes, soccer fields, stores/restaurants, etc), and he can live his best life, enjoying all the dog friendly activities the world has to offer. I will forever be grateful for K9 Kamp, and will absolutely be using them to train any dog that joins our family in the future.

Five stars - AT LEAST!

Our Sophie, a French bulldog puppy, completed the 21 night board and train program and has since been back to board while we went on vacation. Sophie still has her great personality combined with some discipline - thanks to K9 Kamp! They took great care of Sophie and we will continue to board her there - which is great because she greats some refreshers on her areas for improvement (we all have them!). Thanks so much K9 Kamp!

I cannot say enough about how great the trainers are at K9 Kamp. I was very hesitant about leaving my pups for an extended period of time, but we needed help with training. We were sent daily pictures and videos of our pups in training action and also being loved. The dogs in training are taken out in real world situations, not just trained in a facility. Our dogs are now well behaved and do what they are asked(for the most part-just like kids-lol). We started using doggy daycare at K9 Kamp back in August 3 days a week. My dogs know when we are close because they get so excited and run to the door. The additional training and learning new tricks has been so beneficial and fun to see. The trainers have become our dogs’ second family and we all love them!!

We took our 11 month old puppy there because we could not make any progress with a trainer coming to our home 2 times a week. We needed obedience help as well as help with barking and jumping on people. K9 Kamp was a game changer for us. I am no longer embarrassed to have people come to my house. Jayda is a much better dog and we are so happy with her. The people at K9 Kamp are so friendly and you can tell they genuinely care for your dog. I highly recommend them if you want to improve your relationship with your dog and have a pet you can be proud of!

HUGE shout out to K9 Kamp Dog Training!!! We sent our dog to their 21 night board and train program and she has come back with incredible self-control and is doing so great following commands, walking on her leash, and her recall, which means YES she can now be trusted off-leash with us.🤩 She's still got her silly, spunky personality, but now she LISTENS and we know much better how to communicate with her.🩷

She's the sweetest but was definitely in need of LOTS of training. We'd joke that her leash walking was a D- on a good day. 🤣 After one day home, we've already taken her to a store where she walked loosely on her leash, listened to commands, and didn't even attempt to pummel the dog walking in the door!😜

She was trained by multiple trainers and even got to go on quite a few outings so she could also train in the "real world" with distractions.

We'd receive 10+ photos and videos each day to update us on her progress and show the fun she was having.

We knew this was an investment, but knowing she'd be with us for 15 years plus, it was one we definitely wanted to make, and it has already paid off ten fold.

We're looking forward to having her attend group trainings here and there and is also eligible for boarding when we go on vacation.

I'd HIGHLY recommend them to anyone wanting to get their dog trained!💯

I highly recommend K9 Kamp Dog Training! I sent my puppy to K9 Kamp when he was around 8 months old and have never been more thankful. They created incredible foundations for him to continue to grow into a dream family per. Sunny is confident with other animals, children, people and overall an easy going dog!

I had them focus on counter surfing, being gentle with children, and confidently walking on a leash…. He was taught so much more than that but never jumped on my counter again!

We LOVE K9 Kamp! Our goldendoodle went for a board and train program and came home a more well behaved dog. She now does loose leash walking, stays in our yard, and she can control her impulses better. We continue to board her there when we go on vacations and she loves it! The attention she gets, the outdoor time, and not being in a kennel are some of our favorite aspects. I highly recommend!

There’s no one we trust more with our dogs. We’ve been customers for over 6 years and I don’t know what we’d do without k9 kamp. They trained our first dog after he exhibited signs of aggression and gave us back control, allowing him to live a long and happy life! When we moved to Chicago I actually drove all the way to St. Louis to board him while we’d go on vacations because that’s how much I trust their expertise and care. We’ve purchased a whoodle through their breeding program and adopted a standard poodle through their training program. These dogs were around our newborn baby girl and have grown up with her. We get so many compliments from the groomer, the vet, doggie day care and more on how well behaved the dogs are. I send everyone I know looking for training and advice to Carrie, Jim and their team.

If you’re like me you might be doing a lot of research trying to find the right fit for your family and you might be second guessing if the investment is worth it. Trust me when I say you have found the right place.

We sent our 20 week old puppy to K9 Kamp for the two week long training course. During his stay we got daily text updates, photos and even videos showing us all he was learning and what a good time he was having. It was clear that he was well cared for by all the staff. When I picked him up I was amazed at how much he’d learned. He was like a different dog, in all the best ways! He is now excellent on a leash, will sit and stay, come when called and responds well to “no” which has helped us cut down on all the negative behaviors like jumping on people, counter surfing, and chewing shoes. We have worked daily on his commands in the three weeks since getting him back and he’s only gotten better with them, to the point that I have forgotten his e-collar and he’s still obeyed every command without it. K9 Kamp was well worth the cost and having to spend a couple weeks apart from our precious pup. I’m very happy we did it.

Winston came home so much calmer and better behaved. The trainers truly love on your fur babies. And then send so many updates to make sure your babies are being loved on! Also, they are in it for the long haul. Over a year after training and if I have questions, they are always eager to help and give solutions.

We have had two dogs train with the team at K9 Kamp both for e-collar training and puppy rearing. The whole team is incredible with great training and a clear love of pups. Our dogs are able to walk with us off leash and play fetch in open spaces without fear of them running away or bothering anyone else. The dogs know their commands and are excited to show off their skills. We give K9 Kamp our highest recommendation.

K9 Kamp was life changing for my German short haired pointer. She was difficult to control on the leash and anxious about everything! We have used K9 Kamp for both training and boarding. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust our fur-baby with anyone else. The training was well worth it and our boarding experiences have been excellent with photos and videos every day and so many excursions for our pup. I got a whoodle from these amazing people and my sweet boy has received training from here. My puppy Theo was having a few issues lately and I decided to take him to K9 while I went on vacation. 1. Because I knew they would love him as their own. 2. He always seems so happy never wanting to leave. 3. He was having some issues with fear and snapping at people which I knew they could help with. During my whole vacation I received photos which helped my anxiety leaving him for 7 days and got updates on him. When getting home to pick him up I really wanted to speak to Austin (trainer who theo adores) about some of the issues and he wanted to talk to me about what he noticed. It was great to get assistance on what I could do at home to help my dog get better and not be so nervous. They also did some miracle work kn him tok. His barking has got more under control, he has so far not growled at people as much and we are really using the tools Austin and Carrie have provided us to give dog the best life. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Not sure how anyone could give 1 star. Jim and Carie literally saved our dog’s life. Obviously, if you don’t follow up on what they teach you, your dog will revert to their old behaviors, but they give you all the tools and training to continue what they started! Couldn’t be more grateful!!
